The Steller's Jay is a jay that is very closely related to the Blue Jay, and it has been known to hybridize with it where their ranges occasionally overlap. This bird is found from Alaska to Nicaragua, inhabiting a region around the western American mountain range, especially around the Rockies of the western United States and Canada. It, like the Blue Jay is very vocal, and is an opportunistic feeder that feeds on vegetation and small animals and eggs.
