About us

In a nutshell, we started this company with the primary goal of educating about and inspiring interest in nature, and the secondary goal of using proceeds to spend our time cleaning up trash, planting tree and fruiting/flowering plant seeds and seedlings, growing plants to give away for free to residents in deforested subdivisions, and enacting species-specific conservation and other nature education plans, with other goals depending on our success, such as buying land to turn into reserves and opening nature education academies. Our small team is made up of tour guides and nature experts that had this idea before the pandemic, but we accelerated our plans for Sancta Natura in 2020.

The reason that our main objective is to teach about and call attention to nature with our products, and our secondary goal is to rehabilitate the environment and specific habitats that so many species rely on is simple: no matter how much our team grows, and how many trees we plant and give away and how much trash we get up, our impact cannot possibly be as great as a general public that is very interested in and knowledgeable about nature, nationally and internationally. That is the only way to truly curb the damage we are doing to our planet, and we believe that a large percentage of the public would voluntarily partake in some of the conservation and habitat preservation efforts we ourselves employ if we can help educate about and inspire interest in the natural world around us.

Below are some more detailed descriptions of our activities and future plans, all funded by and according to our growth:

-We clean up forests and other habitats, such as roadsides, and waterways. We will be sending people out to pick up trash, and advertising to find people interested in part time work for our larger clean up projects, to supplement our full-time team. We can't think of a better way for someone to earn a little extra money than by employing them to help protect the environment, and learn about nature at the same time, all funded by the sale of products to the public that educate about and inspire interest in the plants and animals around us.

-We mass plant trees from seed, prioritizing hardwoods such as oaks, maples, ash, hickories, sycamores, poplars, and others in targeted areas where we hope to bolster and expand forest, especially to maximize riparian habitat.

-We plant trees from seed at our own properties, which serve as nurseries, to later plant the seedlings in specific areas, or to package and distribute to the public for free (see more below about this).

-We use wood discarded from construction projects, such as 2x leftovers to construct eco-friendly bird boxes to assist vulnerable species maintain or re-expand their diminishing ranges, and also to create boxes to transport seedlings from our nurseries to their planting locations.

-One of our biggest plans is to be start a service to deliver our homegrown trees to the public by packaging them in our homemade biodegradable pots made from composted plant matter, and delivering them to residents of subdivisions and neighborhoods that we consider lacking in trees (especially in neighborhoods where hundreds of thousands of trees were cleared by developers to ready the land for construction).

And our KEY Activity:

-We organize free guided trips for members of the public, including for children (and their parents), to meet at designated areas for nature walks, and also offer this to youth organizations, schools, and other entities. We hope to grow and hire young nature lovers and subsidize nature guides to carry out these duties in other areas with peers in their communities. A kid who is interested in and knowledgeable about the natural world around us is infinitely less likely to knowingly or, very importantly, unknowingly take action to its detriment.
