The Snowcap is a very small hummingbird that inhabits humid mid-level and lowland forest in southern Central America, from Honduras to Panama. Though currently not considered threatened, its limited range, much of which runs through an area that has seen much of its forest converted to farmland, makes this species very susceptible to further deforestation.
