Adult Red-tailed Hawk (Harlan's) T-shirt

This subspecies of the very widespread Red-tailed Hawk is very dark, almost black on the body, with black, white, and gray on the wings and tail, making the reddish color virtually absent from this bird, though there is a very uncommon light morph of the Harlan's Red-tailed Hawk. In is uncommon, but its habitat covers a large swath of western and central North America, from Alaska to the Gulf coast.
