Adult Orange-billed Nightingale-Thrush

A nonmigratory thrush of the Catharus genus (which includes Hermit, Swainson's, Bicknell's, Gray-cheeked thrushes, and the Veery that are found in North America), this bird is found in Mexico, Central, and northern South America, with scattered records in the United States. It is found in forested hills as well as high elevation forest, and is imperiled by continued deforestation (logging, conversion of forest to open sun plantation and farmland, and expansion of human population areas) in its range.
