Adult Olive-sided Flycatcher T-shirt

The Olive-sided Flycatcher is a big-headed, big-billed pewee that breeds in much of western and northern North America, and winters further south, mainly in northern South America. In North America, it is generally one of two expected Contopus species in much of its range (Eastern or Western Wood-Pewee being the others, depending on location), and they are a treat for birdwatchers, as they are much rarer than wood-pewees. Unfortunately, this species has seen a tremendous decline of up to 80% of its numbers over the last half century, due to habitat loss both in its breeding range and on the wintering grounds in tropical America, as deforestation has accelerated in both regions.
