The Vermilion Flycatcher is a beautiful bird that is found mainly from the southwestern United States, south, through Mexico, but sparingly through Central America, and in much of South America. According to some classifications, there are four separate species in its genus, one of which is recently extinct, but most consider these conspecific as the subspecies of Vermilion Flycatcher. This bird is threatened in much of its range by rapid habitat loss.
