The beautiful Orange-bellied Trogon is a bird that is found in very limited forest habitat from the Costa Rica-Nicaragua border to central Panama. Previously considered a separate species, it is now classified by many as a subspecies of the Collared Trogon. This bird is very susceptible to the rapid deforestation plaguing much of the region.
