Kids Mahogany T-shirt

Specifically known as Big Leaf or Honduran Mahogany, Swietenia macrophylla is found from Mexico south, through Central America, and in much of Amazonia in South America. Its original range has been vastly decreased due to logging specifically for this tree and others, and by the general clearing of forest for farmland and human population centers. A very highly-valued tree because of the quality of its wood, this species continues to rapidly decline, as both legal and illicit logging have not slowed.
