Kids Hepatic Tanager T-shirt

The Hepatic Tanager is a species of the Piranga genus, which is now considered part of the cardinal family, rather than the very large true tanager family of tropical America. It is found from in parts of the southwestern United States during the breeding season, and from Mexico, south, through much of South America, but avoiding the densest rainforest. Southern Hepatic Tanagers are much brighter and a darker red than northern, duller individuals of the arid southwest and Mexico. In the United States, it is the fourth most abundant species of its genus, after the Scarlet and Summer Tanagers, mainly of most of the eastern and central parts of the country, and the Western Tanager in the west.
