Adult Chestnut-sided Warbler T-shirt

This warbler is found in much of northeastern North America during the breeding season, and in Mexico and Central America in the winter. Inhabiting mainly deciduous forest, the Chestnut-sided Warbler, like most related species, feeds on insects and other small invertebrates. Though numerous, it has steadily declined, with a total population number that has been cut nearly in half over the last half century. This is mainly due to deforestation on the breeding grounds and along migration routes, and a similar problem, demonstrated by the conversion of shade-grown coffee plantations to open air coffee and pineapple plantations in Central America.
