A beautiful migratory songbird, the Cape May Warbler breeds in the extreme northern United States and much of Canada, and migrates through and winters in much of the Caribbean, and parts of Central America. Over the last half century, this bird's numbers have declined by over 70%, and it continues to be threatened by habitat loss, and by a scarcity of preferred food caused directly by humans and specific insecticides that target insects that are key parts of its diet.
