A strikingly-plumaged bird, the Blackburnian Warbler breeds along the Appalachian mountains, in the northeastern and north-central United States, and southeastern and south-central Canada. It spends the winter in Central and northwestern South America. Though somewhat stable, deforestation both on the breeding grounds and on the wintering grounds poses a threat to this beautiful songbird.
